Synergy is an interesting open source tool that allows you to easily share one mouse and keyboard between multiple computers running Windows, Linux and Mac OS systems. The program is dedicated for users with several computers on which each operating environment uses its own monitor. No additional devices are required, all you need for Synergy to work properly is a network connection and the right application configuration.

In addition, Synergy offers features that allow you to use the system clipboard (copy/paste method) between computers, as well as temporarily locking the mouse on a selected screen (useful e.g. during games).
