Miro is a multiplatform application, distributed under an Open Source license, designed to download and play free video materials saved in MPEG, QuickTime, AVI, H.264, DivX, Windows Media, Flash Video also in HD quality. The program offers features such as full-screen video viewing, media management, creating playlists, subscribing to thematic video channels, searching YouTube, Yahoo!, Google Video, Blip and much more. Miro also allows you to download videos over the BitTorrent network and automatically delete viewed channels that have been stored on your hard drive.

Of course, the authors have foreseen the function of leaving your favourite positions. The application currently offers over 2 500 free film channels, podcasts and blogs in its database.
