DroidCam is a small and very simple tool, allowing you to transmit video images from any smartphone or tablet running Android to your computer. It allows you to use an external device to make video calls using many of the most popular instant messaging devices. The program is available for Windows and Linux operating systems.

In combination with an application of the same name that we need to install on our smartphone/tablet, it allows us to convert this device into a webcam and use it to record videos on a computer or to make video calls with friends via the Internet. From various sources users inform that DroidCam cooperates with GG, Skype or Hangout. The operation of this small tool is very simple.

Depending on the method of connection (possible connections via WiFi/LAN network or USB cable), the user defines only such parameters as the IP address of the Android device, the port for communication, as well as whether to transmit video and/or audio. From the DroidCam level we will also configure the rotation of the image and its resolution (from 320x240 to 1280x960p).
