The application was created from scratch in C++ and Python languages with a strong emphasis on speed and convenience of work. It brings together all the necessary functions, allowing the programmer to write and edit source code files efficiently.

An important advantage of Sublime Text is the extensive possibilities of configuration and customization of individual elements of the editor to individual user preferences. He can also write his own plug-ins and macros, which will further expand the capabilities of the program, as well as improve the performance of specific tasks. The application is equipped with a syntax highlighting mechanism for the most popular programming languages - C, C++, C#, CSS, D, Erland, HTML, Groovy, Haskell, Java, JavaScript, LaTeX, Lisp, Lua, Markdown, Matlab, OCaml, Perl, PHP, Python, R, Ruby, SQL, Tcl, XML.

There was also a card mechanism that allows you to work with multiple files at once, autosave, search and replace with regular expressions, auto-complete syntax, pairing parentheses, automate recent actions or spell-checking. Sublime Text supports keystroke shortcuts to improve the performance of frequently repeated operations. The Sublime Text interface is minimalistic and all possible space in the editor's window has been designed to display text or source code.

A great convenience for the user is a small graphical preview (map) of the entire contents of an open file, giving the possibility of efficient movement around its contents. The application offers a set of a dozen or so colour schemes, allowing you to conveniently adjust the colours of the editor to our liking. Full screen operation is also possible.
