SubRay is a climatic 2D platformer that transports us directly into the dark waters of the deepest oceans, which have not yet been explored by mankind. Sitting at the helm of a small but armed submarine, we move through mysterious underwater corridors full of traps, ambushes and riddles. In addition to the main mission of exploration of new territories, we try to get to the exit from each system as quickly as possible, while maintaining the highest possible level of energy.
In fulfilling this task, mutated squid and any hostile sea breezes will effectively interfere with the performance of this task. Equipped with a special radar and the ability to temporarily dematerialize we are able to establish an equal fight with the enemy. However, you should skillfully use your power, because just running it has a significant impact on the understeer of the vehicle.
The game is full of traps, traps and intricacies, which causes that sometimes we can turn into a tangle of underwater corridors, but it only makes the production more attractive. The pace of the game is deliberately not too high to better reflect the climate prevailing several kilometers under water. SubRay has decent graphics and genre-appropriate soundtrack.
It is a simple game in rules, but still demanding from the player a bit of cleverness and commitment, and thanks to its climate and hidden subtext it encourages the player to think, reverie and nostalgia.
