Vivaldi is a completely new web browser, created by one of the former heads of the Opera. This program is addressed to advanced and demanding users. Although Vivaldi is a new product and is still developing, we will already find in it functions that the competition does not and is unlikely to have.
You can use mouse gestures, notes, bookmark manager, download manager, process manager and a sidebar where you can place your favorite page and shortcuts. In Vivaldi, you can browse through the pages of the cards and take advantage of the history of recently closed cards, stacks of cards with tile preview and the possibility of marking cards with colors. There will be symbols on the tabs to indicate that the pages are being loaded in the background, the pages that are not displayed, and the loading progress indicators.
Pages can also be saved in attached cards. March 5th saw the bookmark bar, image loading on demand and "spatial" navigation. Vivaldi can run plugins and load images on demand, import personal data from other programs, enlarge interface elements and work on HiDPI screens.
We also have the ability to play HTML5 content encoded by H.264, full support for extensions and user location determination, smooth scrolling, and a private view window.
