Visual Studio Professional 2017 is Microsoft's powerful development environment (IDE) for creating desktop applications, universal for Modern UI, web applications using ASP.NET and Silverlight, using the cloud, but also for the Windows Phone, Android and iOS platforms. The code can be written in one of several languages supported by default in Visual Studio 2017, including C#, Visual Basic, C++, F# and JavaScript. The program is considered by many to be the highest class development environment.

In the latest version of the program, several modifications have been made, thanks to which it is supposed to be even more user-friendly for programmers. Among other things, the focus has been on code optimisation, so that the environment starts faster, the exception tool has been updated, the Live Unit Testing function has been added to the code, which allows you to observe unit test results directly in the code, integration with the Git version control system has been extended, and new bug reporting features have been added when several developers create a single project. Also new is the option to create custom extensions, modified options to customize the layout of windows for a specific project and a whole series of additional tools to make it easier to write and test applications in specific languages, supported by Visual Studio.
