Virtual VCR is a small, free program offering the functions of a "digital video recorder", i.e. the ability to capture the signal received by means of a TV card installed in the computer to a video file in AVI format. The program provides a number of configuration options - we can choose the resolution of the resulting video, frame rate (default 25 fps), codec for the image (so that we can reduce the size of the resulting file), filters (uses the system filters DirectShow), adjust the sound quality and many other features.

Unfortunately, the program has limited possibilities of planning the recording in advance, however, there are options to define the maximum recording time from the interface. For proper operation of the program, DirectX libraries version 8.1 or later installed in the system are required. The latest version of DirectX can be downloaded from PROGRAMS ->
