TexMaker is a free and multi-platform LaTeX editor, offering all the necessary tools to create technical documentation, including complex mathematical formulas, etc. Despite its enormous capabilities, the program offers an easy to use graphical interface, built on the basis of the Qt framework. It is characterized by high speed of operation, and since version 3.1 it is also available in the Polish language version.

Its great advantage is simple installation and configuration, allowing you to customize the tool to your needs and preferences. TexMaker can be run on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. The most important functions built into the program include code completion module, spell-checking (currently there is no Polish dictionary), integrated PDF viewer, card mechanism that allows you to work with multiple files at the same time and the error handling function.

TexMaker offers a set of wizards for generating simple documents - tables, lists, etc. The user can also use 370 mathematical symbols, which can be easily placed in the project. The program provides a convenient way to configure keyboard shortcuts to the most frequently used tags and commands.

The program fully supports Unicode, as well as many other encoding systems. From its level we can also access extensive LaTeX documentation, helpful in case of problems, e.g. during the compilation process.
