TeXstudio is an extensive environment for creating and editing LaTeX documents, offering a full set of tools for convenient writing complex technical documentation, including complex mathematical formulas, etc. The software is equipped with a highly configurable graphical interface, where the user can freely change the location and layout of the most frequently used options. Its advantage is simplicity and transparency - despite the huge number of different functions, finding this particular one should not cause any problems for anyone.

The main component of the environment is a built-in code editor, which has a mechanism of syntax highlighting, autocomplete, generating (compiling) the output document, as well as many predefined mathematical designations, letters or characters available in the menu. For novice users, there are many helpful wizards that can easily place tables, graphics, formulas, more than 1000 mathematical symbols and many other objects in the project. Further features of TeXstudio include built-in support for SVN and various LaTeX compilers, a document template system, a bookmarking mechanism, as well as support for scripts to extend the capabilities of the environment.

An important element of the software are also macros, which enable automation of frequently performed operations.
