ScreenHunter Free is a program for taking screenshots with the possibility of copying to the clipboard, saving in BMP, JPG or GIF format, creating naming schemes and the option of delay in taking the shot. The options available in the free version of the program are the selection of the area from which the snapshot will be taken (full screen, active window or manually indicated area), the way of saving, including the graphics format, location and file naming, and additional settings related to the behavior of the whole application. It is also possible to decide whether the mouse cursor symbol should be visible on the shot you are taking.

Operation of the program is not complicated, despite the fact that the manufacturer decided to use a common application interface for its three available versions (there are also paid varieties). As a result, in this free edition, most of the functions are unavailable (grayed out but still visible). This may initially make it difficult to find those items that can be used.
