RAKSSQL Fixed Assets is a module of the RAKSSQL system that allows to keep records, updates and depreciation of fixed assets, equipment and intangible assets. The module allows to introduce to the register both new and partially depreciated fixed assets together with the history of their redemptions, changes in value and revaluations performed. Depreciation is calculated using the straight-line method or the degressive method, based on definable depreciation rates.
Unlike most other programs of this type, the special feature of RAKSSQL is the use of a free database server (to download separately - details in the description), which can work not only under the control of Microsoft Windows but also on Linux systems, which significantly reduces implementation costs. In RAKSSQL, the opening and closing of a financial year takes place in any calendar month and is 24 months long. The user has the ability to work simultaneously in several financial years, without the need to close previous periods.
Types of depreciation The program enables independent accounting and tax depreciation. Accounting depreciation is compulsory, tax depreciation is optional. Fixed asset files contain full information about the fixed asset:
inventory data, depreciation parameters, depreciation plans, all operations performed in the program and booking commands. The user of the program has the possibility of multi-level grouping of fixed assets according to three criteria: accounting types, places of use and freely definable groups.
RAKSSQL ŚT allows you to depreciate using three methods: linear, degressive and disposable. The straight-line method consists in the fact that in subsequent financial years the amounts of depreciation write-offs are the same.
In the degressive method these amounts are decreasing. The programme will automatically switch to the straight-line method when, in a given financial year, the amount of the annual depreciation charge is less than or equal to the amount of the annual depreciation charge for the straight-line method. Under the one-time method, a single depreciation charge is made for the amount of the asset's value.
Frequency of depreciation write-offs Depreciation write-offs can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. For the monthly frequency, the program allows you to freely select the months to be depreciated, the implementation of seasonal depreciation. In the case of quarterly frequency, write-offs are made in the months ending calendar quarters.
The choice of annual frequency means that depreciation charges are made in the months ending financial years. The RAKSSQL ŚT program allows you to select the depreciation rate according to the Fixed Assets Type Classification (CRŚT) in force since 1 January 2000 or by entering any value of the rate. The KRŚT table contained in the program may be subject to modification (editing, adding or removing items).
Opening balance When a fixed asset previously depreciated in another system is entered in the register, the program enables the continuation of depreciation without the need to enter existing operations. To take account of these operations, an opening balance sheet amount is entered, which includes the amount of the write-off made up to the first day of the current financial year and the amount of the investment allowance. Global Depreciation Plan The program is equipped with a function to determine the global depreciation plan.
It allows you to plan the depreciation process by setting optimal depreciation parameters (method, rate, factor, frequency of depreciation). The depreciation plan contains depreciation amounts and asset values in subsequent months or years (calendar and accounting) presented in the form of a table or graphical form (graph). Group operations Most of the operations available in RAKSSQL ST (e.g.
Determination of the depreciation plan, Monthly depreciation) can be performed for a group of fixed assets. This function significantly increases the efficiency of work with the program. Chronology of operations The depreciation process of a fixed asset must be carried out according to the rules of chronology of operations.
One example is monthly redemption. Redemption in the following month is possible only if the previous month was redeemed. In order to relieve the user from controlling chronology rules, the program has been equipped with an extensive system of prompts and controls, which operates by automatically prompting the correct dates of all operations and preventing incorrect values from being entered.
Summaries and documents The Programme generates documents necessary for proper management of fixed assets (e.g. bookkeeping orders, acceptance, liquidation, acceptance and acceptance protocol, asset sheet) as well as cadastral statements in accordance with the requirements of the Accounting Act and the provisions of the Polish Accounting Act.
