Portable Update is a tool for updating the Windows operating system on a computer without Internet access. Although the connection to the network is very common today, in some situations users deliberately renounce it, for example, in order to additionally protect the data stored on their PC's hard drive. At the same time they make sure that it is equipped with the latest additions to popular "windows", which by default can only be installed using the Windows Update application built into the Windows operating system.
The alternative turns out to be the Portable Update described here. In order to update the operating system on a PC without Internet access using Portable Update, use an external USB memory stick where you can put the relevant files (download them directly from a computer connected to the network). If you want to update several systems at the same time, you can place various updates in one USB memory folder, because the program will identify them separately.
However, if we do not have an external hard drive, pendriva or other device of this type, we can transfer the relevant data via a private LAN. Portable Update has been tested by the authors of the program on the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 10;
Microsoft Windows 8.1; Microsoft Windows Server 2012; Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2;
Microsoft Windows 8; Microsoft Windows 7; Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2;
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2; Microsoft Windows Embedded POSReady 2009; Microsoft Windows Xp (from SP3);
Microsoft Windows Vista; Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 (from SP4).
