Notepad2-mod is a fast and small text editor based on the great Notepad2 application. Modification offers several functions extending the capabilities of its original. Notepad2-mod editor is an excellent tool for all programmers and a great replacement for the notepad built in Windows system.

In addition to a more eye-catching look, the program offers a whole range of easily accessible options for more advanced users - line ending conversion between Unix/Mac/Windows formats, syntax backlighting for popular programming languages, support for regular expressions and character encoding changes (UTF-8, ISO-8859-2, Windows-1250 and others). Despite adding so many options to the program, it is still easy to use and has a lot of configuration possibilities, which is its main advantage. Notepad2-mod has been additionally equipped with such functions as code scrolling, automatic word completion, selected words selection, favourites support, syntax highlighting for AutoHotkey, AutoIt3, AviSynth, Bash, CMake, Inno Setup, LaTeX, Lua, Markdown, NSIS, Ruby, Tcl and YAML or better NFO ANSI art documents support.

Similarly to Notepad2, Notepad2-mod allows you to replace the system Notepad from the main program menu (Settings > System Notepad Replacement). The program does not require installation.
