The new Netscape 9 is based on Mozilla Firefox. The browser is equipped with a number of elements aimed at protecting privacy and security, including a system of protection against phishing and other threats (updated list of dangerous sites), as well as the ability to block pop-up windows and unwanted sites. It has two rendering motors (equivalent to Mozilla and IE) to improve the display quality of pages designed with IE in mind. At first glance, a different concept than the one that guided the creators of the fox also draws attention. Netscape 9 is not a simple, gadget-free browser.
