Nero BackItUp is a backup toolkit for home users and small businesses. The main advantage of Nero BackItUp is its ease of use, which is due to its clear interface and extensive documentation in Polish. However, the advantages do not end there - the program provides a lot of functions allowing you to back up selected or all files, as well as entire disk partitions.

These copies can be made to a hard disk, CD, DVD, Blu-ray disc, local network or FTP server. In addition, the manufacturer offers the possibility of storing archived data on its server as part of the Nero Online Backup Internet service for 3 months free of charge (however, it requires a subscription). Nero BackItUp is fully configurable, enabling full and incremental copies, file synchronization and scheduling.

Both for backup and disaster recovery, these operations are limited to just a few mouse clicks. Additional tools - Nero Express and Nero RescueAgent - are included. The first one is used for burning CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray discs, it is used in the process of archiving on this type of media, however, it can be run completely independently.

A curiosity implemented in Nero Express is SecurDisc - a technology that increases the availability and security of data on discs. The second tool makes it easy to recover data from damaged (e.g. scratched) media.
