Microsoft Research Cliplets is an unusual and very easy to use tool for processing video materials, using which we can easily "freeze" or leave selected elements of the image in motion. We start the work with the program by loading the film and indicating the fragment that will be processed. After a few seconds of processing the material you can proceed to the edition, which takes place through two simple time axes, responsible for previewing the loaded video and the animation created by us, and several types of layers superimposed on the image.

These include solid layers, which can be played back in a loop or once, as well as a mirror image. During processing we can use any number of layers and they can include completely different elements of the image - indicated (by their contouring) by the user with the tool, which is the highlighter. Microsoft Research Cliplets supports 3G2, 3G2P, 3GP, 3GP, 3GPP, ASF, AVI, M4V, MOV, MP4, SAMI, SMI, WMV and XCLP video formats on the input.

Finished projects can be exported to MPEG-4 (MP4) or WMV files.
