A free add-on to Microsoft Office 2000, XP and 2003, allowing you to open documents created in Microsoft Office 2007. By default, the new Office offers new XML-based formats such as DOCX (Word 2007), XLSX (Excel 2007) and PPTX (PowerPoint 2007). Unlike DOC, XLS and PPT formats used so far, files in new formats are not compatible "down", i.e.

they cannot be opened in older versions of Office. To make it possible, Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack has been prepared. After installation, it will also be possible to edit and save files in new formats.

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack is designed for Office 2000, XP and 2003 versions, applications included in these packages (e.g. Word 2002), as well as free browsers such as Word Viewer 2003 or PowerPoint Viewer 2003. Before installing the add-on, install all critical patches to installed Office applications.
