Service Pack 2 (SP2) update supplement of 28 April 2009 for Microsoft Office 2007 in the Polish language version. In addition to all the amendments issued so far, it also introduces changes in the functioning of individual Office 2007 applications. One of the most expected novelties is support for the Open Document Format (ODF) format.
From Office 2007 you can now add, edit and save ODT, ODS and ODP files. There is also XML Paper Specification (XPS) support, which was previously supported by the plug-in. There will also be no need to download a PDF plug-in, its support is already integrated in Office 2007 SP2.
In Word and Excel there is Object Model support in graphs. Also in Excel, improvements were made to the drawing of graphs. New Excel charts have become available for Word and PowerPoint.
The package can also use all cryptographic algorithms available in the system. Access has added the ability to export reports to Excel. Improved data import, print and preview reports, macros, Excel integration and data filters.
Added an update for Access Developer Extensions. Graphics printing, especially on PCL printers, has been improved for Excel. In Groove, form tools and synchronization have been improved.
Increased compatibility of InfoPath with Groove and Outlook. Synchronization of OneNote with SharePoint has been improved. Outlook increases the speed at which you can start, close, preview, and switch between folders.
Improvements have been made to the calendar and model of objects. In PowerPoint, re-saving files is faster, some printing issues have been resolved. In the Project application, improvements were made to Gantt charts, Active Cache mechanism and planning engine.
Improved compatibility with old versions of the MPP format. Publisher has been improved in terms of print preview, IE8 compatibility, Vista mail handling and library saving. Visio improves compatibility with other Office applications.
Added the ability to export UML models to XML file. Improvements have also been made to the Office 2007 server-based products. Content Management in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) has been improved, including STSADM commands to fix links between target and source pages.
Processing of status approvals in Office Project Web Access to Office Project Professional 2007 has been improved. In Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 there have been improvements in read-only databases and tasks rebuilding indexes.
