A free Microsoft location tool for owners of notebooks, tablets or regular PCs equipped with a WiFi wireless adapter. It is worth noting that Location Finder does not need any additional devices - it is enough to have access to the Internet. The location is determined using WiFi network access points or an assigned IP address and virtual maps of Windows Live Local (formerly MSN Virtual Earth).
The fixed position is then displayed in the middle of the Internet Explorer window. The results are not as accurate as GPS technology, of course, but they can still be very useful. In order for the program to work properly, we recommend setting Internet Explorer as the default web browser.
