jperf is a graphical implementation of the popular network bandwidth diagnostics tool - iperf. The tool is multiplatform and therefore uses Java. The commissioning tool itself does not require installation.
In addition to the classic text output presented by iperf, jperf also offers a large graphical representation of the measurement results, and all configuration parameters can be "clicked" in a clear graphical interface. The application also enables saving and loading the test configuration, as well as saving the measurement results to a file. In terms of configuration capabilities, jperf is basically no different from its console brother.
The tool allows you to measure TCP and UDP band, allows you to freely control many transmission parameters (including TCP window size, MSS, Sudden algorithm), as well as supports multicast and IPv6 transmissions. It is also possible to set a constant transmission speed during the test, perform symmetric tests and many, many more. However, it is worth knowing that under the jperf mask there is a slightly older version of the iperf tool than is currently available for download separately.
