jAlbum is a program that automatically creates thumbnails of photos or videos and saves them to the project as an HTML gallery or slide show presentation. The application allows you to fully control the appearance of the generated album, the ability to adjust the skin, layout of photos or thumbnails. Jalbum processes images, creates index pages, demonstrates show pages, and has the ability to upload the final album to an FTP server for others to see it.

The program should be appreciated by both amateurs and professional users of the photo gallery. jAlbum also offers a photo editing mode, in which the user is offered a set of several functions for basic graphic processing and removal of imperfections created during shooting. These include tools for trimming the image, removing red eyes, modifying the white balance and color level settings, as well as applying simple filters (sepia, pixelose, grayscale shades, etc.) to your photos.

Additionally, the application has been equipped with a pleasant and user-friendly graphical interface, which allows for convenient management of the collection of photos. It is possible to segregate and catalogue photographs and to move them efficiently using the "drag-and-drop" method.
