ivsEdits is a modular and flexible software for non-linear video editing in 4K/2K/HD/SD resolutions. The application has been optimized for slower computers and laptops. The program is equipped with a number of filters and plug-ins to generate such effects as blurring, saturation, glow, sharpening, creating masks, reversing colors, removing background greenscreen and so on. The full version of the program natively supports a number of formats including DVCPRO25/50, DVCPRO HD100, XDCAM SD/HD/EX, MPEG1/2/4 and DPS/DVA. ivsEdits also offers a toolkit for the production of live material. The application allows you to capture and edit in real time signals from several cameras (up to 8) and the ability to switch between channels. When the live event is over, the editor can immediately modify the material and make the final product available for a few hours after the event. The free version of the program has several limitations. ivsEdits LE primarily offers less support for input formats (P2 DVCPRO SD(DV25/DV50) (MXF/MOV), P2 DVCPRO HD (720p/1080) (MXF/MOV), AVI DV (25/50/100), AVI Uncompressed stored in MXF, Quicktime, AVI and WMV containers and output containers (AVI Uncompressed, AVI DV and DVCPRO (25/50/100), MOV, WMV). To be able to edit video clips freely, it is best to use a program such as EyeFrame Converter and convert files to supported formats before working with the editor. The ivsEdits LE version has also been deprived of several additional components including Fusion 6 DPS I/O Plugins, AfterEffects DPS I/O Plugins, ivsRecode, ivsCapture, Fusion 6 DPS I/O Plugin and ivsDVDCalc. The manufacturer has also reduced the number of built-in transitions from 300 to 120. However, these limitations do not affect the project editing process in any way.
