Hotspot Shield is a small application enabling anonymous access to the Internet. It's an easy to use program that ensures that the connection to a public access point in a café, hotel or airport will not be vulnerable to Sidejacking attacks. Hotspot Shield creates a VPN connection between the computer and the access point.

This encrypted tunnel does not give any chance to third parties who may try to "eavesdrop" the mail, passwords, IM messages or anything else that we are sending on the Internet. Hotspot Shield secures connections with HTTPS encryption and cooperates with wired networks. You can also hide your IP address thanks to the program.

After installation, the application is available from the menu bar. By clicking on the Preferences tab you can see what is your IP address, connection speed, VPN server address, as well as connection time.
