Halite is an extremely fast and lightweight, fully functional BitTorrent client. The most important functionalities offered by the application include the ability to encrypt connections, download multiple files simultaneously, including selectively, transfer limitation, IP address filtering, support for proxy, UPnP and NAT-PMP, as well as a torrent creation wizard. In addition, the program offers support for so-called trackless torrents via the Kademlia DHT protocol.

One of its main advantages, however, is the minimal consumption of system resources. During work it does not exceed no more than 10 MB, which is half as much as ľTorrent and only a fraction of Vuze or BitComet.
