Desktop Dimmer is a free open source tool for controlling monitor brightness settings. The program adds an icon to the system tray, whose click displays a slider, one for each available monitor. Moving the slider changes the brightness of the image.
The brightness status of each monitor is automatically saved and is played back when the system is restarted. Note: a program for such a trifle takes up a huge amount of memory.
It was written in JavaScript on the Electron framework, which is running on a truncated version of Chromium browser. That is why we present it rather as a curiosity.
