CryptBox is an application designed to protect confidential data collected on your computer. The program allows the user to create so-called safes, in which we can store important documents, photos, multimedia, etc. Each of the safes created may have any disk space indicated during its creation, and a popular encryption algorithm AES-128 or AES-256 (available only after purchasing a license) is responsible for its protection.
CryptBox offers several interesting ways to secure data. In addition to the standard password entered on the keyboard, it is also possible to enter the password by clicking on the images displayed and generate a key that will unlock access to encrypted data when connected to a USB stick or iPod. Data can be added to the safe in one of two ways - through the transfer manager built into CryptBox or directly from Windows Explorer.
Once unlocked, all safes can be used in the same way as standard partitions and disks in the system. In addition to the above mentioned capabilities, the tool also provides the ability to convert ordinary folders into the form of these safes, encrypt entire disks, and create safes with applications that can be run without the need to install them on any computer and which will not leave any traces of their use on it. CryptBox also has a tool for secure and non-returnable deletion of data and the MemoryProtect function, which prevents malware from stealing user-entered passwords - before and during their entry into RAM memory they are encrypted.
CryptBox is equipped with a very friendly and intuitive, but unfortunately not available in the Polish language version graphical interface. At each stage we are accompanied by simple wizards, which step by step guide us through the operations of creating, converting safes, etc.
