ArmA II is a tactical war simulator which is a continuation of the famous Armed Assault title published by Bohemia Interactive Studio. It must be admitted that this is a simulation of a soldier for real tough guys, who are not afraid of challenges, and in addition, people armed with huge amounts of patience. The action of the game takes place in the territory of the fictional state of Montenegro in the Caucasus and is woven into an alleged internal conflict which in effect triggers a civil war in the local territories.
The player plays the role of Sergeant Matt Cooper, one of many soldiers who came to help on behalf of NATO. In ArmA II the game does not run at a rapid pace, here every action must be carefully thought through and planned tactically, while the mission itself is not about running senselessly and shooting at everything that moves. Rather, it is advisable to stick to the array designated by the commander and slow recognition of the area.
Beginners are advised to visit a training camp, where they will acquire all the necessary skills that will allow them to fully enjoy the game later on. We had at our disposal a really large arsenal of vehicles, including helicopters, tanks, off-road vehicles and fighters. Each armament element is presented in detail, including the accompanying gravity and ballistic missiles.
The game requires cunning and tactical skills because it is very easy to earn the ball. Our enemies do not wait until we graciously come after them, they are usually well hidden and only wait for our slightest mistake. ArmA II is certainly an ambitious and complex production.
This complexity undoubtedly gives the game an extra glamour. The war shown here is unpredictable, we can never be sure what will happen in a moment, even if we are a super experienced player with many years of experience. This is a unique position, dedicated to military enthusiasts, who are not afraid of military challenges, a large number of things to grasp and a high level of difficulty.
