VTzilla is a small and very simple extension for Firefox web browser (version 1.5 or later), whose task is to protect your computer against pests distributed via the Internet. It allows you to scan selected files/ URLs in the VirusTotal service before downloading/opening them, respectively. The extension is a perfect complement to traditional antivirus programs, allowing the user to analyze selected websites and files using dozens of the most popular scanning engines (including manufacturers such as Symantec, Kaspersky, GData, ESET, Avira and many others).

After installation, the plugin displays an additional bar in the browser window, from which we will scan the selected URL. In addition, an appropriate option is also available when downloading files and from the context menu.
