A free and simple program from Elaborate Bytes (known for its CloneCD and CloneDVD programs) for creating up to 8 virtual CD/DVD drives in the system. Such drives have the properties of a classic physical device, i.e. it is possible to "insert" and "pull out" the disc - data are taken from previously prepared disc images created e.g.

by means of the CloneCD program. An additional advantage of this solution is faster operation and protection of the original media. Operation of the program is very easy - just right-click on the virtual drive icon and select the desired file with the disc image from the context menu (Virtual CloneDrive detects the last images created with the CloneCD program).

The Polish interface in the program can be obtained by selecting the "Polish" option in the "Language" tab of the program. On Windows NT/2000/XP systems, the user should have administrative rights. During installation, system messages may appear warning that Virtual CloneDrive has not passed the Windows Driver Signature Test and Windows Logo Test procedures.
