TrustPort Antivirus is a lightweight antivirus program that provides basic protection against all kinds of malware - viruses, worms, Trojans and spy components. The program is equipped with two scanning engines protecting the system against known as well as new viruses. The security of the computer is monitored, among others, by the resident protection module, whose task is to analyze each running program and open file, as well as to block malicious software activities.

With the latter, a potentially harmful file can be attempted, quarantined or completely deleted. In addition to standard methods of scanning and comparing potentially harmful code with the virus signature database, TrustPort Antivirus also has heuristic analysis technology. It allows to identify new, not yet known malicious and harmful components by studying the structure and behavior of the code.

TrustPort Antivirus allows you to perform on-demand scans. It can be started manually at a moment chosen by the user or regularly, according to a configured work schedule, and can cover entire disks, indicated folders and files. There were also functions of automatic updates of the program itself, as well as signature databases.
