Snip is Microsoft's small and easy to use tool for capturing screenshots, notes and photos. After installation, a small panel appears on the desktop, the location of which can be freely adjusted to your needs. Snip offers dropping a rectangular fragment of the desktop, adding handwritten notes to it and sending the effect of your work by e-mail, as well as copying to the clipboard and saving the image in the PNG file.

In terms of note taking, Snip allows you to create handwritten drawings in five colours, as well as adding a microphone recording attachment, which can be automatically added to the note and, like a snapshot, sent by email. Operation of the program is simple, which unfortunately also affected its functionality. There were no more advanced possibilities of taking snapshots, such as automatic selection of the active window or menu.

The advantage is the integration with the operating system: after pressing the Print Screen key on the keyboard, Snip will be automatically used to take a screenshot. The program can be useful during presentations or group work, which is facilitated by easy and convenient operation.

However, the lack of a Polish language version may be a problem.
