SmillaEnlarger is a free tool for conveniently enlarging digital photos without any significant loss of their original quality. It is addressed mainly to amateurs who would like to enlarge selected photos from holidays, family celebrations, etc. without the need to use extended graphic "harvesters".

Contrary to the impression that can be obtained after its first launch, the program is very easy to use. The entire zoom operation consists of just a few simple steps. SmillaEnlarger supports "drag-and-drop" mechanism which significantly improves this activity.

The next step is to edit the indicated photograph, which is basically limited to manipulating the slider responsible for zoom. The user can decide whether to enlarge the whole area of the image or only its indicated fragment. In both cases, the magnification technique is the same.

A set of properly crafted algorithms automatically smoothes and removes noise from the enlarged image, thus avoiding the effect of so-called pixelosis or mosaic pixels. In most cases, the result of automatic selection of settings gives satisfactory results, but SmillaEnlarger also allows the user to manually configure the intensity of individual graphic effects. SmillaEnlarger is available in a form that does not require installation for Windows, Linux and Mac OS.

It supports JPG, PNG, TIF, BMP and PPM graphic formats.
