Serva is a small and free (for home use) utility that allows you to install Windows (version 2000 or later) over a local network using PXE technology. PXE (short for Preboot Execution Environment) is an IT solution that allows you to conveniently install or run an operating system from another computer. The original workstation does not require data warehouses that can store the operating environment that is loaded from the LAN.
However, such a computer must be equipped with a network card capable of handling the connection to the server (via DHCP and TFTP protocols) and downloading the operating system. Serva is the perfect tool for installing Windows without installation media such as CDs/DVDs, external USB disks (e.g. USB flash drives), and so on.
It allows you to significantly speed up the installation process or install the same system on multiple computers at the same time. The advantage of this tool is relatively simple configuration and support for automated installations.
