Serviio is a free DLNA server that allows you to stream media files (music, photos or videos) to any device connected to your local network and running in DLNA standard, such as TVs, Blu-ray players, mobile phones and game consoles. Serviio was created in Java language and thanks to that it works without any problems on any platform - Windows, Mac or Linux, as well as on systems installed on NAS servers. The program supports various ready-made profiles for individual devices, with the help of which we can quickly and easily set up a connection to the appropriate TV or other device in the local network.
In addition, it offers tools to transcode on-the-fly data and automatically update the entire media library when adding, updating or deleting data or metadata files. The program supports most popular multimedia formats such as MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, MPEG, VOB, MOD, TS, M2TS, MP4, MOV, AVi, WMV, MKV, FLV, 3GP, JPG, PNG and GIF. Enables SD and HD video streaming and playback, and transmits web-based data (live video, RSS or podcasts).
Supports video thumbnails, disc covers and various DVD posters, and can easily add external subtitles to any video.
