Secunia has been a recognised source of information about threats related to gaps in applications for many years. Personal Software Inspector is an application that uses these experiences and a database of information about threats. PSI scans your computer to check what applications are installed on it and checks in its database if there are any programs installed by the user that pose a threat.

It is usually older versions where gaps have been detected. After scanning, a list of dangerous applications and suggested actions is presented. Just click on the icon to update the program or look in the Secunia forum dedicated to the dangers in the relevant products.

Two simplified views (SIMPLE) are available - one for less advanced users and an extended view (ADVANCED) for more inquisitive users.
