ScreenToGif is an easy to use and useful tool for recording user activity on the computer and saving it in GIF format. The application allows you to record a selected area (e.g. desktop), the size of which is determined by entering relevant information in the program window.

We have to determine not only the width and height of the window (in the form of pixels), but also the frame rate. There are two keyboard shortcuts available, thanks to which we can easily start, stop and resume the recording process. ScreenToGif allows you to enter text, subtitles, titles, frames, watermarks, drawings and many other objects, so that the tool can be successfully used to create uncomplicated presentations.

If you select too large a recording area, you will be able to crop it in a blink of an eye using the available cropping function. Unlike other tools that offer similar capabilities but save files in video format (e.g. AVI), ScreenToGif allows you to create a GIF that can be played without the need for codecs or any plugins.
