Screens Free is a tool for taking screenshots and recording screencasts, giving you the ability to edit captured material before saving in the selected resolution and parameters The application allows you to take screenshots of the entire screen and active window, as well as snapshots of shape (rectangles, circles, hand-cut surfaces), the entire content of scrolling windows (e.g. browsers), menu structures, Windows controls or console windows - both directly and with a certain delay. You can also edit captured graphics, add effects, arrows, clipboards, shadows and frames.

The snapshot prepared in this way can be exported to an image (PNG, GIF or JPG), PDF or Microsoft Office document, sent as an attachment, opened in the default application, or printed. Screens can also record screencasts - the Video tab gives access to the mechanisms of recording screen content or window (including sound), as well as a board on which you can write to complete the action recorded from the screen. The presentation created in this way can be saved to AVI, with user-defined compression, bitrate and resolution settings.
