Paragon Go Virtual is a free application that allows you to transfer Windows installed on a physical computer to a virtual machine. The application is designed to be used in client scenarios, for example by more advanced home users. Paragon Go Virtual creates a special physical system image that can be run in one of the popular virtualization client tools - Microsoft Virtual PC, VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, VMware Player or Oracle VirtualBox 3.
This way, for example, we can migrate the system from an old computer and use it on a new one as a virtual machine. The only condition for success is the source system version - it must be at least Windows 2000 and it cannot be a server edition. Paragon Go Virtual allows you to decide which partitions or hard disks are to be included in the created image and how much RAM and processor cores are to be allocated to the virtual machine.
If you have more than one system on your computer, Go Virtual will ask you which one you want to virtualize. The process of image preparation can be carried out "hot", i.e. also during operation of the migrated system, or offline from another system.
Importantly, the physical system will continue to be useful after image preparation.
