Noxious is an interesting TPS, whose action was set on a research platform, distant from the Earth, drifting somewhere in the distant corners of the cosmos. One may be tempted to say that the authors of the project were mainly inspired by the famous horror science fiction "Alien". This is evidenced, for example, by the plot and the whole setting of the game.

We play the role of one of the laboratory employees who, coming back from lunch, gets a terrible view in the main room. It turns out that during his absence something in the studio went wrong. The experiment that a group of scientists worked on slipped out of control.

The result of these events is the spread of poison dissolved in the air throughout the bloodthirsty, laboratory research facilities that feed on poison dissolved in the air. By putting on a combat suit and using a special plasma, we set off on a mission to save the space laboratory. On our way we meet monstrous caterpillars, a series of other creatures lurking in wait for our lives.

The game is played in singleleplayer mode without offering any fancy configuration options. We simply install, turn on the full screen option and like Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley in "Alien" we stand eye to eye with degenerated, cosmic mutants.
