no$zx is a free emulator of ZX Spectrum computer prepared for Windows platform. In addition to faithful emulation of the ZX80/ZX81, the program also allows you to operate machines such as Lambda or Jupiter ACE. ZX Spectrum was one of the first small home computers manufactured in 1982 by the English company Sinclair Research Ltd.
The computer operated on the basis of a microprocessor operating at 3.54 MHz clock and RAM memory oscillating from 16 to 48 kB. The built-in modulator enabled operation in graphic mode of 256 × 192 pixels or text mode using 24 × 32 characters. The image was generated in as many as 8 colors and 2 shades of brightness.
no$zx was born as a hobby project created by Martin Korth, who specializes in creating various types of emulators. On the emulator project website you can find four games H.E.R.O., Beamrider, Magic Floor, Starfight, prepared by Martin and over 20 applications dedicated for ZX81 and ZX80 class computers.
