Narco Police Remake is quite a faithful reworking of the shooter known from the times of Atari ST or Commodore 64, which has also received a version for Amiga and PC, of course. After years of refreshing the game, an independent team of talented programmers undertook the task. Thanks to their efforts, we can take part in a massive attack on the drug cartel fortress.

There are also elements of tactical planning. Three shock groups join the task, between which you can switch freely. The heart of the operation can be reached in several ways, and besides, it is necessary to choose the right equipment for them.

We move through well-protected tunnels, with advanced defense systems and patrols trying to eliminate us almost every step of the way. The orientation in the complex is facilitated by a handy mini map. The action is shown from behind the heroes, just like it was in the bonus stages in the classic Contra.

We are eliminating waves of enemies, trying to save ammunition. We select the right missiles for the threat, on cameras and guns using stronger ammunition, and blast the gates with rockets. The retro climate has been preserved thanks to the use of sound and artificial interlacing.

However, the effect can be switched off.
