HWMonitor is a small and very easy to use tool for monitoring the basic parameters of basic computer components. It concentrates in one window information about temperature, voltage and speed of fans, e.g. chipset, processor and its individual cores, hard disk, graphics and batteries (in the case of laptops and netbooks).

The program for reading these parameters uses special temperature sensors mounted on the devices by their manufacturers. In the case of other information or components that are not equipped with such sensors (e.g. hard drives), the required data is collected using S.M.A.A.R.T.

HWMonitor technology. HWMonitor is very often required for the operation of various system widgets, whose task is to provide convenient information about the parameters of the computer. During its work, HWMonitor records information about the minimum and maximum values obtained by individual components.

The tool also offers the function of exporting all collected data to a text file.
