Hybrid is a powerful, yet free and multi-platform tool for converting video files in many of the most popular formats, including the high quality X264 format. From the very beginning it is worth mentioning that the program distinguishes itself from the competition by the huge number of available options and despite the fact that it is very easy to use, it is directed rather to more advanced users. With its help we will not only convert the video material into another format, but also optionally lower its bitrate value, adjust the quality and size of the file to the defined parameters, trim and scale the image size, overlay and adjust the subtitles or use filters and divide it into chapters.

It is possible to convert full video material, as well as its individual chapters. Hybrid offers a set of several predefined quality settings, allowing you to define tasks in which files will be converted one by one. The input formats supported by this tool include X264, XVID, VP8, AC3, OGG, MP3, AAC and FLAC.

Output formats include MPEG-4 ASP (Xvid), MPEG-4 AVC (x264, miracles), VP8 (vpxenc), ProRes, DTS, AC3, OGG, MP3, AAC, FLAC, PCM, OPUS and media containers MOV, MP4, MKV, M2TS, WEBM and AVI. The program also allows you to create a Blu-ray and AVCHD structure, ready to be stored on optical media.
