BitTorrent Sync is a P2P-based data synchronization tool for synchronizing data between computers and mobile devices. It allows very fast data transfer between multiple units and does not restrict the size of the data that can be synchronized. Unlike the very popular virtual disk services nowadays, which are used to synchronize data (e.g.

Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, etc.) BitTorrent Sync allows you to synchronize files located directly on your computer's disk (without the need to transfer them to external servers in the cloud). It is enough to define shared folders from the program level and generate special keys for them. It is after they are passed on to others, that they will be able to synchronize any directory on their computer with the content made available by us.

BitTorrent Sync does not impose any restrictions on the size of the synchronized data, transfer rate or the number of users downloading data at the same time. All these parameters can be changed by us in the configuration options of the tool. From their level we can, among other things, set limits on data transfer rate, indicate the port used for transfer or use mapping of NAT UPnP ports.

When transferring files, the connection between devices is encrypted with a 256-bit algorithm. Access to our data is granted only to those persons to whom we provide the appropriate access key to the contents of the selected folder. Importantly, the tool is also available for mobile devices (with Android 2.2, iOS 6.0, Windows Phone 8, Kindle Fire or higher versions), which significantly facilitates the transfer of data between the computer, smartphone or tablet.
