Baka MPlayer is a simple and open source media player, based on the mpv component. The program has been integrated with a set of codecs, allowing the playback of audio/video files in commonly used formats (MP3, AVI, MKV, etc.) without the need to install additional A/V filters. The application was created with anime in mind, but can be successfully used to play standard movies and music.

Despite the fact that it does not offer extended functionality, its great advantage is a simple but aesthetic graphical interface and speed of operation. Baka MPlayer is able to play video content in high quality, and the process of loading it into the program takes much less time than other competitive players. Baka MPlayer features subtitles, playlist support and video screen creation.

There were also options of playing back URLs with multimedia. The application does not require installation and is ready to work right after downloading.
