Bandicam is an increasingly popular tool for creating screenshots and recording video sequences, which is an interesting alternative to the hitherto unrivalled Fraps. The program allows you to capture and save video sequences of up to 2560x1600 resolution and FPS values in the range of 5 to 60 frames. With its use it is possible to create so-called screenshots and record video from games, applications, etc.
in full screen mode, but also any other size declared by the user. Bandicam supports DirectX and OpenGL libraries. The tool is characterized by small size, lightness and low demand for system resources.
In addition, its advantages are the relatively small size of created video files, their high quality and the ability to record long video (more than 24-hour) and no file size limit (more than 3.9 GB). Bandicam can control FPS (frame rate) values when playing computer games and upload videos to YouTube without conversion, in high quality of up to 720p or 1080p. Screenshots created with Bandicam can be saved to BMP, PNG, JPG files, and video sequences to MPEG-1, Xvid, MJPEG, MP2, PCM.
In the program settings we will adjust the quality of the audio/video codecs used for converting and whether the mouse cursor should be visible in the captured materials. Saving an image can be automatically interrupted when the output file reaches a certain size or when the defined time has elapsed. After the recording is finished, a new recording can take place or the computer can be turned off.
