Fireworks is a tool for creating and optimizing the appearance, size and quality of both raster and vector images for direct use in Dreamweaver or Flash. In addition to image preparation, Fireworks allows you to design layer-based navigation elements, as well as event response buttons using CSS and JavaScript. Drawing vector objects are fully compatible with the Flash, which enables easy import/export to both applications.

The program has options for copying objects from Fireworks and pasting them directly into Dreamweaver or Flash, using layer styles or creating multiple design pages in one file (PNG). Among the innovations of Fireworks CS6 there is increased performance on Mac OS and Windows. Support for CSS3 worksheets (e.g.

the extraction function from HTML code), jQuery libraries and colour management has been improved - i.e. switching between fixed colours, gradients and patterns.
