WriteMonkey is another small and fast text editor, which was created for users who value minimalism. It only offers the necessary features so you can focus on text editing and is not overwhelmed by the vast majority of unnecessary tools. The application operates in full screen mode and does not display any other elements on the screen (except for information about the name of the file, the number of words written or the current time), except for the area for typed text.

The user can freely change the color of the workspace or font, the level of transparency of the editor, page layout, printing, keyboard shortcuts or sounds played when keys are pressed. WriteMonkey is based on the JavaScript plugin module, is fully compatible with UTF-8 and supports Unicode and ANSII character encoding standards. It is distributed in a portable version which does not require installation in the operating system.
