Winamp is an undeveloped but still very popular audio and video player. The application has a number of useful features, including the ability to rip audio CDs to multiple formats (aacPlus, AAC, WMA, MP3), the option to burn CDs (the maximum free recording speed is 2x), the playback of Internet radio and TV stations and for some time also Flash format. Winamp also offers the ability to search for lyrics, artist information, buy concert tickets, download music, import a library from iTunes, manage add-ons, remote music and video playback, create dynamically generated playlists based on music preferences, share music, and much more.
Since version 5.5 the authors have completely redesigned the application interface, added Flash support, the ability to synchronize with many devices including iPod, implemented Winamp Toolbar allowing you to take control of the player from a web browser and added support for Windows 7. In case the number of options offered by Winamp would exceed our needs, a special Lite version based on the latest version of the player 5.5 engine was created.
